Using the trap of offense Satan tries to keep us from doing what God has called us to do. When we are offended or there is conflict too often we simply run somewhere else. As mature Christians we should seek God’s direction in our lives so we can face and work to resolve problems instead of running from them.
One of Satan’s most powerful traps is the snare of offense. As Christians we often feel justified when we take offense at someone, especially in the Church. Satan uses this trap to divide the body and to lead people away from the church week after week. We need to recognize the sin of offense for what it is and learn to love and forgive as the Bible tells us to do.
This week we were blessed to have Mark Nelson speak from the book of Philippians.
