When people only look at one aspect of God they get a distorted image of who He really is. To better understand God we need to understand how God’s justice is balanced against God’s mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly<\/u> and to love mercy<\/u> and to walk humbly with your God. <\/em>Micah 6:8<\/p>\n\n\n\n He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just<\/u>. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. <\/em>Deuteronomy 32:4<\/p>\n\n\n\n Woe to those who make unjust laws<\/u>, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor<\/u> of their rights and withhold justice<\/u> from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. What will you do on the day of reckoning<\/u>, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches?<\/em> Isaiah 10:1-3<\/p>\n\n\n\n all have sinned<\/u><\/em> and fall short of the glory of God.<\/em> Romans 3:23<\/p>\n\n\n\n The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.<\/em> Lamentations 3:22-23<\/p>\n\n\n\n But God is so rich in mercy<\/u>, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins<\/u>, he gave us life<\/u> when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) <\/em>Ephesians 2:4-5<\/p>\n\n\n\n God blesses those who are merciful<\/u>, for they will be shown mercy<\/u>. <\/em>Matthew 5:7<\/p>\n\n\n\n Are we saying, then, that God was unfair<\/u>? Of course not<\/u>!
