Drawing from Malachi 2, we see  how our view of marriage reflects our view of God, why faithfulness matters, and how strong marriages build strong families and churches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God? Then why do we betray each other, violating the covenant of our ancestors? Judah has been unfaithful, and a detestable thing has been done in Israel and in Jerusalem. The men of Judah have defiled the Lord&#8217;s beloved sanctuary by marrying women who worship idols\u2026 You cry out, &#8220;Why doesn&#8217;t the Lord accept my worship?&#8221; I&#8217;ll tell you why! Because the Lord witnessed the vows you and your wife made when you were young. But you have been unfaithful to her, though she remained your faithful partner, the wife of your marriage vows. Didn&#8217;t the Lord make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth. &#8220;For I hate divorce!&#8221; says the Lord, the God of Israel. &#8220;To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,&#8221; says the Lord of Heaven&#8217;s Armies. &#8220;So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.&#8221;<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp; Malachi 2:10-11;14-16<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Choices In Marriage Reflect Our Relationship With God<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/em>Amos 3:3<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Qualities Of A Godly Marriage<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2026The Lord witnessed the vows you and your wife made when you were young.<\/em><strong> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Malachi 2:14<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2026Then the Lord God said, &#8220;It is not good for the man to be alone.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/em>Genesis 2:18<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Built To Last<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>For I hate divorce!&#8221; says the Lord, the God of Israel.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/em>Malachi 2:16<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2026let no one split apart what God has joined together.<\/em><strong> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Mark 10:9<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pastor Tommy reminds us that marriage is more than romance or companionship\u2014it\u2019s a covenant before God.
