But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God\u2019s one and only Son.&nbsp;19&nbsp;And the judgment is based on this fact: God\u2019s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.&nbsp;20&nbsp;All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.&nbsp;21&nbsp;But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants.<\/em>&nbsp; John 3:17-18<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>We Must Be Born Again<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>22&nbsp;You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters.&nbsp;Love each other deeply with all your heart. 23&nbsp;For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp; 1 Peter 1:22-23<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>14&nbsp;Either way, Christ\u2019s love controls us.&nbsp;Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.&nbsp;15&nbsp;He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>16&nbsp;So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!&nbsp;17&nbsp;This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp; 2 Corinthians 5:17<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>We must Live in the Light<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Living in the Light<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>5&nbsp;This is the message we heard from Jesus &nbsp;and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.&nbsp;6&nbsp;So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.&nbsp;7&nbsp;But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin<\/em>. 1 John 1:5-7<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>God\u2019s light calls us to fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>How Do We Bridge the Gap?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Love<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>18&nbsp;Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.&nbsp;19&nbsp;We love each other[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+John+4&amp;version=NLT#fen-NLT-30583b\">b<\/a>]&nbsp;because he loved us first.<\/em> &nbsp;1 John 4:18-19<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Kindness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Openness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Interest in Others<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Ministry<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>8&nbsp;If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth.&nbsp;9&nbsp;But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.&nbsp;10&nbsp;If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/em>1 John 1:8-10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>We Must Be Honest With Ourselves<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>We Have to Follow the Light to Avoid the Darkness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>A Woman Caught in Adultery<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>8&nbsp;Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives,&nbsp;2&nbsp;but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them.&nbsp;3&nbsp;As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. 4&nbsp;\u201cTeacher,\u201d they said to Jesus, \u201cthis woman was caught in the act of adultery.&nbsp;5&nbsp;The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?\u201d 6&nbsp;They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger.&nbsp;7&nbsp;They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said,&nbsp;\u201cAll right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!\u201d&nbsp;8&nbsp;Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. 9&nbsp;When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman.&nbsp;10&nbsp;Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman,&nbsp;\u201cWhere are your accusers? Didn\u2019t even one of them condemn you?\u201d 11&nbsp;\u201cNo, Lord,\u201d she said. And Jesus said,&nbsp;\u201cNeither do I. Go and sin no more.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp; John 8:1-11 (NLT)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Jesus, the Light of the World<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12&nbsp;Jesus spoke to the people once more and said,&nbsp;\u201cI am the light of the world.
