If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.<\/em><em> <\/em>1 John 1:8-10<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. But John tried to deter him, saying, \u201cI need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?\u201d Jesus replied, \u201cLet it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.\u201d Then John consented.As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, \u201cThis is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.\u201d&nbsp; <\/em>Matthew 3:13-17<em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>The Enemy Will Try To Make Us Question Our Identity<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The tempter came and said to Him, \u2018If you are the Son of God, <\/em><em>tell these stones to become bread.\u201d Jesus answered,&nbsp;\u201cIt is written: \u2018Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. <\/em>Matthew 4:3-4<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>God Will Supply All Of Our Needs<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.&nbsp; <\/em>Philippians 4:19<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em>Matthew 6:26<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.&nbsp; <\/em>Psalm 23:1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>God Will Protect Us<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Then the devil took him to the holy city\u00a0and had him stand on the highest point of the temple.\u00a0\u201cIf you are the Son of God,\u201d\u00a0he said, \u201cthrow yourself down. For it is written:\u201c\u2018He will command his angels concerning you,\u00a0and they will lift you up in their hands,\u00a0so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.\u2019\u201d Jesus answered him,\u00a0\u201cIt is also written: \u2018Do not put the Lord your God to the test.\u00a0 <\/em>Matthew 4:5-7<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.<\/em>  Psalm 46:1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>Position Trap<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.&nbsp;\u201cAll this I will give you,\u201d he said, \u201cif you will bow down and worship me.\u201d Jesus said to him,&nbsp;\u201cAway from me, Satan!&nbsp;For it is written: \u2018Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.\u201dThen the devil left him,&nbsp;and angels came and attended him.&nbsp; <\/em>Matthew 4:8-11<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em>Matthew 6:33<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.&nbsp; <\/em>Hebrews 4:12<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week, Pastor Jesse explores the topic of temptation, drawing parallels between Jesus&#8217; experience and everyday struggles.
