As we continue our Christmas series Season Of Hope, Pastor Jesse reminds us that as the light of the world we are to share the hope of Christ with the world around us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. \u201cYou are the light of the world\u2014like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. <\/em>Matthew 5:13-16<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. <\/em>John 13:34-35<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect<\/em>, 1 Peter 3:15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. <\/em>1 Thessalonians 5:11<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I always thank my God when I pray for you, Philemon, because I keep hearing about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all of God\u2019s people. And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.
