We’re excited to kick off Operation Hope Drop \u2013 Birthday Edition!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This month we’re putting together a birthday care package for Rosey<\/strong>, a student at Teen Challenge. We want to bless her on her birthday and remind her that she is loved, prayed for, and has people cheering her on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re asking everyone to help by donating a few small items that can fit in a box since we’ll be mailing everything. We’d also love for each person to sign a birthday card or write a short note of encouragement. Sometimes a few kind words can mean more than the gift itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please bring your donations by Sunday, August 2<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As you choose items, please remember that Teen Challenge does not allow products containing alcohol, perfumes, or other items that would not be appropriate in a recovery program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for helping us encourage Rosey and show her the love of Jesus. We pray this birthday package will be a blessing and a reminder that she has a church family standing with her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Sunday evening, August 2, churches from around Grapeland will be gathering at our local schools to pray for the new school year. We’ll be praying for God’s blessings and protection over our students, teachers, staff, and everyone who will be walking through those doors each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Light On A Hill Church<\/strong> will be meeting at Grapeland Elementary School at 6:00 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’d love for you to come join us. It’s a simple way we can support our schools and let our community know we’re praying for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope to see you there as we pray for a safe, successful, and blessed school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet At CR8 Building (210 W Chestnut)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Community Ladies Bible Study meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at The CR8 Building, 210 W. Chestnut in Grapeland. This community-wide gathering brings together women from across the area and from various churches for fellowship, study, and encouragement. The group is currently studying the Gospel of John, and newcomers are welcome to join at any time. The meeting is informal, and there is no need to dress up. Food is served, door prizes are given each month, and there is no cost to attend. The study is open to all women of all ages (no childcare is available). Join us each Wednesday at 6:30 PM as we study the Book of Joshua together. We’ll see how God kept His promises, led His people through every challenge, and remained faithful every step of the way. This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.   <\/em>Ephesians 5:32<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her   <\/em>Ephesians 5:25<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.   <\/em>Romans 5:8<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God\u2019s word\u2026 she will be holy and without fault.    <\/em>Ephesians 5:26-27<\/p>\n\n\n\n
