When someone is going through a tough time it is not uncommon for someone else to come to them with the assurance that everything happens for a reason. Often they use Romans 8:28 to promise that no matter how bad the situation, good will come from it.
Pastor Tommy takes a look at what this verse really means as we try to discover if everything really does happen for a reason.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 NKJV
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28NIV
If you love me, obey my commandments. John 14:15
So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen.2 Timothy 2:10
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 2 Peter 3:9
