Tommy Sprinkle is the founding pastor of Light On A Hill Church.
My Ministry
I delivered my first sermon in a mission for homeless and transients. For several years I conducted a weekly church service in a nursing home. Over the years I have worked in children’s programs, taught adult Sunday School, and served on various church boards. In 1999 my wife Donna and I were lead to start a ministry for Spanish-speaking people in the East Texas area. This ministry was named LOAH Evangelistic Ministries and in 2001 it transformed into a church in Grapeland. I have served in the capacity of pastor since the church was founded.
My Faith Journey
My earliest memories are about church. My mother was involved in a local church and saw that my younger brother and I attended regularly. I grew up learning about the Bible in Sunday School and singing Hymns in church. As a teenager I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and have attempted to be a faithful follower ever since. My adult life has always been centered around God and the church. Today I am grateful to my mom, my Sunday School teachers, and pastors who taught me and discipled me throughout my life.
A Little About Me
I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas as did my wife Donna. We were married in 1981 and later moved to Houston for a job as a software developer. We built a weekend home in Houston County and moved here permanently in 2003. I now work from home developing computer software in addition to my duties at LOAH. We have two grown children, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Join me on this remarkable journey of faith, service, and community building at Light On A Hill Church. Together, we’ll continue to shine the light of hope in the hearts of many.
