In God We Trust – 4 Grace and Truth

More and more we find ourselves living in a post-christian world. Post-christianity is the situation in which Christianity is no longer the dominant civil religion of a society but has gradually assumed values, culture, and worldviews that are not necessarily Christian. These are people with some connection with Christianity. Maybe in the past they were baptized, attended church, etc. – but chosen to reject it. It is not that they don’t know, they don’t care.

As followers of Christ we must ask ourselves, how do we represent Him in a way that honors God in a culture becoming more hostile toward Christ

John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Romans 6:1-2 Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? 2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
