This past Sunday at Light On A Hill Church, we had a wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day while honoring all of the ladies of our church family for their faithfulness, dedication, and servant hearts.
Pastor Tommy shared a message focused on the important role women play in serving God, caring for their families, and supporting the ministry of the church. At the close of the service, all of the ladies were invited to come forward and each was presented with a small gift as a token of our appreciation. One of the most meaningful moments of the morning came as the rest of the church gathered around our ladies, standing with them and praying over them together.
Following the service, the men of the church took over the kitchen and grills for a special Mother’s Day cookout at the church. Instead of fighting crowded restaurant lines, everyone enjoyed a relaxed afternoon of food and fellowship together in a packed fellowship hall.
The men planned the meal, cooked the burgers and hot dogs, served the food, and even handled the cleanup afterward. It was a great day filled with laughter, good food, encouragement, and appreciation for the many women who help make our church family so special.
We are thankful for all of the ladies of LOAH Church and the countless ways they serve, encourage, and love others every single week.
