When you face difficulties in life, when it seems that everything around you is failing, when the devil tells you it is time to quit, stand firm and proclaim, “Not today devil, not today or any other day.”
We will face difficult times but because of the cross we can stand. With the power of the Holy Spirit within us and Jesus Christ as our foundation we can claim the victory of the Cross.
This week Pastor Tommy Sprinkle reminds us that Because of the Cross, we have already won the victory.
If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. John 15:18
Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father. John 16:28
Now we understand that you know everything, and there’s no need to question you. From this we believe that you came from God. John 16:30
But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink from the bitter cup of suffering I am about to drink? Are you able to be baptized with the baptism of suffering I must be baptized with? Mark 10:38
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 1 John 1:8-9
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8
There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. John 13:35
