Rightly Divide

Rightly Divide

How can it be that two people can read the same Bible and come to different understandings as to the meaning of a passage? How do we determine the correct and true meaning? We must learn to rightly divide the Word of God if we want to know the truth.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.   2 Timothy 2:15 NKJV

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved.   Mark 16: 16

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.   Mark 16:16

go and make disciples… , baptizing them…   Matthew 28:19

But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.   1 John 4:8

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.    2 Timothy 3:16-17

Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.   2 Peter 1:20-21
